English and Maths Assessment Results June 2016

The graphs below show the results of the Sigma T (Maths) and Micra T (English) test results. Again you will see the improvements we have made. We  review our results and set targets each year. These positive results are the product of the collaboration between teachers, the teaching strategies we put in place and the hard work of all the pupils. Well done everyone!

The graphs below show the Micra T (English) and Sigma T (maths) results from the last 3 years.
Here you will clearly see the improvements in the pupils achievements.
We have 32% of pupils in our school achieving at the highest rate in the country in Maths. The National Norm is only 16%! This is as a result of all the initiatives that were put in place over the last 3 years. It is wonderful to see the fruits of both the teachers and pupils hard work!
We are also achieving a very high standard in English. This will continue to improve as we have now introduced Guided Reading. Here pupils have all been tested and a text has been matched that suitably challenges them. We no longer believe that "one books fits all" this form of teaching is massively flawed and Guided Reading has taken its place. Please talk to your child about this approach to teaching and learning. They are really enjoying it and learning a tremendous amount of literacy.
