We welcome Spring this month.
We learned about St Brigid and the story about her cloak.
We made St.Brigids crosses.
Our daffodils flowered which is a real sign of Spring.
We went to mass to celebrate the Feast of St.Blaise and we got our throats blessed. We learned a song to St. Brigid.

We are just back after our Christmas holidays and love being back.
Our daffodils are doing very well.  They will make beautiful daffodils in the Spring.

Our Christmas concert, "Superstar",  was a great success.  Afterwards, Mrs Cremin treated us all with chips. Thank you!
​Oisín won a box of biscuits in the raffle. He was thrilled!

On Monday 14th November, we travelled to U.L to learn about the Science of Santa.
We really enjoyed it.
Cillian won a prize for answering the following question, "What is Batman's real name?".
And of course his answer was, "Bruce Wayne".

Congratulations to 11850 and our very own zombie who were the winners of our Halloween fancy dress.
The boys made chocolate apples for Halloween, they had great fun!

On Tuesday 2nd class went on a Nature Walk to, The Canon's/Laceys well.
 The children had learned all about this historical site in class.
They learned how in the 1940's boys' from our school were sent to collect some water to make the tea.
Also, it was the main supplier of water to Newport Town in the 1950's.
Today, we had an extra special feature to see at the well, a beautiful fairy trail.

Congratulations to Mike Leo who was our Best Boy on Friday the 5th of September and to Cillian Healy who was our Best Boy today!!!

On the 9th of September we planted daffodil bulbs...we can't wait to see their progress.

We had a coffee morning in aid of Milford Hospice on Thursday 15th September.
We made our own queen cakes and rice crispie buns.
Our parents and families baked lots of nice goodies too.
We raised lots of money.
